Nirvana Bootography Review: The first 16 tracks are from 11-25-91. The tracks are all out of order and you can hear an audible cut between "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Drain You". Strangely you canīt hear one between "Floyd the Barber" and "About A Girl" -- "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was performed between these songs. You can hear Krist singing "Macho Man" during "Love Buzz." Unfortunately they forgot to list "Aneurysm".
Like the disc Sliver, this disc has additional crowdnoise added. Once you pay attention to the crowd the additional noise is fairly obvious because it swells between the tracks and dies down once the song begins. The crowd noise doesn't really interfere and it covers up the splicing between the songs. At the end of "Territorial Pissings" you can hear the dutch radio speaker saying: "Nirvana live in Paradiso in Amsterdam" just before the track cuts.
The three bonus tracks are:
"Even In His Youth" and "Aneurysm" - taken from the Smells Like Teen Spirit single.
"Spank Thru" - taken from the Sub Pop 200 compilation.
The cover is made out of thick red paper. There are a lot of other discs of this date and most of them have a more attractive artwork. Like all other disks containing this date (except Paradiso Lost, which is the preferred disc for this date) it is missing "Come As You Are". You might want to pick up Paradiso Lost unless you are a completist.
