Other MAJOR highlights include the very humourous version of 'My Sharona' and the magnificent 'Verse Chorus Verse', easily the best performance of it I have very heard. 'Here She Comes Now' and 'Pay To Play' prove that even in 1990 ,Kurt's voice was infinitely above any pretenders. Although very few heard it until the next year of course. The only problem I have with this disc are the early Nevermind demoes.(and the one of 'Blew' for that matter) It is impossible to listen to these more than once. Why bother when you have the album versions anyway? That said, being able to hear 'Bambi Slaughter', 'Clean Up Before She Comes' and the 'Montage of Heck' IS a major plus. All in all, if you don't object to skipping tracks 12-15, this is damn near essential for even the casual Nirvana fan .Go get! |
