I always thought that it was pretty over-rated in Bootlegger circles – I had heard the show before, and only decided upon buying it when I got a good offer on it. My main gripes with it are that its quite bad quality in some places –it’s not crackly or anything, just very muddy, and that it’s not a very exciting set list for the most part. However, the show DOES get very good as we get an amazing Blew and Talk To Me. Overall, I would say mildly recommended for this release. I mean, you can get an as-good-as Blew on the official release of Muddy Banks, and an Outcesticide has Talk To Me. I suggest you get them. |
Rating: 90% - Submitted by BleachedBlack on 2002.07.31 02:14:39 PM I got this bootleg a while ago. It's widely regarded as the first largely circulated bootleg. I have heard rave reviews about this show, but i find the quality to be pretty middling, and its gets progressively worse. It's pretty much the same set as most others from the nevermind era, like on a plain, but that does mean it's pretty good. Krist was just finishing ironing out the creases from his audience annoying act, and the crowd is pretty hot all the way through. It also includes an excellent version of blew, and oh, the guilt AND TALK TO ME which is a pretty amazing track. Overall it's a really good live show, however - there are better ones, but they don't feature those 2 rare tracks. Recommended to all fans. |
