Roma-

This disc is what i consider to be "Majestic". Each time I listen to this cd it gets better each time, if you dont already own any bootlegs this is definitely the one to own. The artwork is awsome. The sound is incredible, compared to some of the earlier boots; also you could play this on the radio and say it studio recorded!!! Thats how awsome this is. The only problem is no "love buzz", but i must admit its one of my favorite boots.

This particular concert is probably the most widely bootlegged Nirvana show. The sound is great, possibly the ultimate in quality (unless you prefer XXII) and Roma has awesome artwork. I particularly like the fact that Pat Smear made the cover. But the truth is that this is a dull show. So often is this cd called a "classic" but why?

Nothing exciting happens during it. No new songs are premiered, its not a special date like the final concert, and the band is not very lively. If anything, the subdued performance reveals the depression and suicidal thoughts Kurt was having and the strained relationships between the band members.

Because of the sound quality, its worth having in any format. For all its faults it still great to listen to but I'd reccomend other KTS cds like A Higher State of Mind or In the Shadows of the Sun, over this one.

It has to be said, this CD has nothing tremendously special, although it was one of the last Nirvana shows. "Lounge Act" and "Very Ape" weren't exactly most-played Nirvana songs, but otherwise it is not a landmark. It is, however, a very strong performance, with a setlist full of classics and no actual faults. The sound quality is the ultimate happy medium between smooth production and rough live recording, and there is some between song banter, although it is mostly just Krist (as ever!) A solid disc, but not a groundbreaker.

I think this is a equal bootleg to XXI (the artwork makes uo for it).Its super clear and if XXI has better sound then it must be pretty awesome! It is a pretty bland performence by the band, no energy at all but it is still a good disc to listen to over and over again.....highly recomended......bootleg classic
