I cannot understand why this disc is given such bad rating. Yeah, it is sped up, and it sounds a little weird. I agree that it is annoying, but I think this disc is great anyway. The first few tracks aren’t great, ordinary performances, I’d say. When I heard this bootleg, it was the first time I heard "On A Plain", so obviously I think it is a great version of the song. As I’ve said, the first part of the disc isn’t anything special, but it rises a lot with a great version of “Polly”, gets even better with “Lounge Act” (this track isn’t performed very often) and it completely takes of with "Dumb", an early recording as mentioned in the other review. Damn, I listened to that track ten times in a row when I first heard it, and I still do. It’s the best version of "Dumb" I’ve ever heard, and in my opinion, a reason to get this bootleg alone.
No matter what speed this is in, it’s a good bootleg, and should definitely be considered as the next addition to your collection. You’ll love those songs I’ve mentioned above, and many of the other songs are great, too.
