Notes
Having already played host to the likes of Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth and Red Hot Chili Peppers, NIRVANA's performance didn't strike DJ Fons Dellen as particularly remarkable, We had loads of bands playing our show in those days and NIRVANA was just one of 'em.
(1) Cobain appeared introverted in comparison to the personable and outgoing Novoselic, [Kurt] didn't look very involved,
remembers show co-host, Lotje IJzermans. While Krist was jumping around with his tall body, happy that the people in Holland dug their music.
(2)
The session was mixed and broadcast live. (3) Later on, I heard that the band were very pleased to be on nation-wide radio,
IJzermans adds. Which is not as easy in the US, of course.
(2)
Sadly, the session tapes seem to have disappeared
from VPRO's archives. (4) This would explain why, in November 2002, when VPRO released a more complete version of the 1991 Nozems-A-Gogo/Twee Meter De Lucht In session online, they failed to put any of the 1989 Nozems-A-Gogo performance alongside it.
