Before we took off for Madison, we rented a shared jam space in Seattle, recalls drummer, Chad Channing. I think it was called The Dutchman. It's a big warehouse with a lot of rooms that several bands rented out. We shared a spot, maybe, with Mudhoney. I remember the first time we worked on In Bloom there. [Kurt] brought in the song and it just clicked immediately. We also worked on Lithium, I remember hearing that bass line and thinking how cool it was. I think we jammed here about eight or nine times, maybe over three weeks, like three times a week or weekends, before we took off for Madison. (1)
