"I grew up in L.A. and over time amassed a large collection of L.A. Punk records. I rented a table at a swap meet in 88 or 89 and sold off most of doubles. At the closing, some kid came up to me and offered a stack of Sub Pop singles for trade. I knew very little about Sub Pop at the time, but the records looked cool so I traded him a few singles. One of the singles I got was the Nirvana single. Owning it also allows me to have a complete collection of the Sub Pop singles club!" |
