The song was recorded in November 1993 during the session for MTV's Unplugged. In December of that year, MTV aired the hour-long show. In the fall of 1994 the song was released on the album MTV Unplugged In New York. A promo was released in Australia. An American disc might have also been released. A bootleg flexi from Russia also exists.
