Made in France (as stated on the back of the sleeve) and released in Europe, this CD was also a common import in the U.S. and some other countries back in 1994. The back of the sleeve also indicates the track times as 3:37 and 4:01, respectively. The UPC number on the sleeve is 7 2064-21958-2 6.

The CD and sleeve do not indicate where the item was manufactured, but some of the credits on the CD are printed in French. While the catalog number and front artwork of the sleeve are the same, this item differs from the above version in these ways:

· The back of the sleeve does not mention MTV Unplugged In New York being available in various formats.
· The UPC number on the sleeve has the same digits, yet is arranged differently. (It looks like 7 20642 19582 6.)
· Track times are listed as 3:33 and 3:35.
· Credits at the bottom of the sleeve are different.
· Credits along the rim of the CD are printed in French. (The other version does not have text on the rim.)
· Text and the layout of credits on the bottom half of the CD appear to be slightly different.
· The matrix is not the same.
