The vinyl is black (33 1/3 rpm) and the songs are taken from the 1991.11.25 show in Amsterdam.

There are two pressings of this bootleg.  It's said that original pressings have a yellow sleeve and that green and black text is used on the white vinyl labels.  The second pressings may only have black text on the white vinyl labels.

Even though it looks official at first glance, there are several errors:

  • · Four song titles have printing errors on the info sheet.

    · Nowhere on the sleeve or vinyl labels is the normal legal text included, such as "Lyrics by Kurt Cobain/Music by Nirvana, Virgin Songs, Inc./The End Of Music."

    · The tracks from the live show are out of order.  An owner points out:

  • "...the part that confuses me is that the songs just cut out.  They don't fade out or dissolve into the next one for smooth radio play, they just stop.  That seems like something that a real radio show would fix."

  • · The numbering on this item is inconsistent, except for the use of sixes.  The insert reads "666," but the LP label lists "666(i)," "6666/s," and "666666--SS."

I don't know which bootleg came first, but there are also bootleg CDs like this item: The Live Spirit and Wild Tales have identical tracklists, and Smells Like Success is the same except for one track.

  • "Hi Dave...Just happened on your site...I can clear one thing up for you...the BBC Transcription LP is ABSOLUTELY a bootleg...it was NEVER issued officially...what someone has done is make an excellent copy of the BBC labels and BBC generic cover.  The last live 'In Concert' BBC Transcription Services LP made was #484, and then they continued on with CDs.  I have the full listing of all LPs which I got from inside the BBC directly.  It has never been made public which is why it is so hard to verify these BBC shows.

"I know this information to be fact, it's up to you whether you choose to use the info or not."

(NOTE: In response to this info I asked what the last official BBC releases was.  Below is the response.)

  • "#484 was actually by an Australian band called the Black Sorrows...1991...they (the BBC) have continued the numbering system from then on with their live CDs."

Several sixes may also be in the code, at least on one of the pressings.

    Side 2:  AMS-001 B1
