u s e r   r a t i n g s   This book will not have any user ratings.     n o t e s   Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love had major issues with this book, starting when they found out Lynn Hirschberg (the author of the infamous Vanity Fair article) had been consulted by the authors.  This caused the couple and their lawyers to draft a 56-page document that contested various parts of the yet to be published book (it was scheduled for release in 1993).  Cobain and Love also made threatening phone calls as they attempted to intimidate the authors into reconsidering the book's release.  Gold Mountain, Nirvana's management company, asked everyone to not cooperate with Collins and Clarke.  In the end, the book was never published.  Rumors suggest that the authors were paid off.
