Live Nirvana Bootography Review:
This disc contains a complete A- audience recording of the '92 Ruisrock performance. The sound quality is identical, if not a little better than the incomplete version of this show "Before and after the Storm." "World Without End" is a Japanese disc that is most easily found in Japanese and European shops. It can be difficult to come by in the United States (it doesn't appear to have been heavily imported) at a reasonable price. It can't be classified as "rare" since it's still available in shops, but US collectors should jump on this double CD if given the opportunity... or face the prospect of paying $50 to a foreign store, plus shipping.

The Turku show is a lot of fun to listen to, despite a lot of clapping by the audience. Early in the show the band goes after a guy who must have been getting out of hand. Dave tells the audience "Nobody die, Okay? " Kurt seemed to be having fun and changed some of the lyrics on Lithium:

"Shave my head" = "Shave my Balls"
"I'm not gonna crack" = "I don't have the crabs!"

and during "Smells Like Teen Spirit":
How low, how low, hell-o = "Even Flow, Even Flow, Even Flow" (Pearl Jam pulled out of the festival at the last minute)

The highlight of the show has to be the last ever performance of "Swap Meet." The song was rarely played... a real pity considering how great sounded at this show. The band plays with a lot of energy and it's worth the extra money to get this double CD instead of "Before and after the Storm."

The filler on the second disc comes from the show where live songs for the "Sliver" and "Molly's Lips" singles were taken. Unfortunately, the source (B+ sound board) is sped up and over-driven... not terribly enjoyable. The Portland show (disc 2 tracks 5 -14) is thought to be incomplete and this is as much as surfaced.

The artwork, as with most Japanese discs, is lacking... but the disc does have one of the most unique covers of any commercially available bootleg. This disc is highly recommended for collectors who are used to, and can appreciate, an audience recording.
