Live Nirvana Bootography Review:
What an interesting disc! tracks 1-11 are a nice powerful recording of the legendary Reading '91 gig with lots of bass- nice! This is actually the most enjoyable recording of the show that i personally have heard (Excluding the tracks on "1991: The Year Punk Broke"). Other sources i've heard have a very strange unnatural sound to them and were rather "thin" sounding, even the MTV Pro footage, so i was very pleased to be sent a copy of this for review.
"Come As You Are" Has a cut in it, the audio seems to have been taken from a mono audience video of the show (AMT#2), there is a slight buzz all the way through, though i didn't find it intrusive.

The artwork is the same as the 7" release which seems to be disc 1 of the set, This Cd is marked as disc 2.
The front Cover says " A Tribute To The Vaselines", but confusingly the spine says "OUTMOD PUNK MENTALITY", the title at the top of this review is our best guess as to the full title.
The last 4 tracks are by Captain America, which at the time, was the new band of Eugene Kelly (Ex Vaselines).
These four studio songs can be found on Captain America's rare deleted first EP in 1990. Eugene Kelly had to change the name of his band to Eugenius due to threatened legal action from Marvel Comics.

Eugene's duet with Kurt on "Molly's Lips" is one of the highlights of this disc.

The only downside to this disc is that heavy noise reduction was used on the reading show with resultant digital artefacts.
