Noizemaker

Live Nirvana Bootography Rating: A  98%

Live Nirvana Bootography Review:
This is a very nice, almost 77 minute long killer show! Other than "Noizemaker" being the only available disc of this show, it is the last ever Australian Nirvana concert - and what a show it is!

The only reason this disc didn´t reach an even better rating is because the sound is a little overdriven, comparable to the "Sydney 1992" disc which was recorded one day before (using the same recording equipment). Other than that, "Noizemaker" features very good A soundquality.

The "soundboard" sticker on the back is not correct.

Below you will find a descprition about every track on this disc:

1 - Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam
"Hi ... this song is written by The Vaselines, they´re from Scotland ... you have ever heard of The Vaselines? I´ll make you a tape of them sometime ... " - Thats what Kurt starts this night with. This time, he actually sings "Wants Me For ..." instead of "Doesnt Want Me For ... ".

2 - Aneurysm
Kurt´s voice sounds a little tired, other than that "Aneurysm" rocks as usual!

3 - School
This old "Bleach" song keeps the audience in the air :)

4 - Drain You
Very good version of "Drain You", especially the first lines sound beautiful.

5 - Come As You Are
Kurt turns off the distortion and restarts (first he started with distortion) the song. When "Come As You Are" was played in early 1992, it always sounded "dark".

6 - Lithium
Again, Kurt does a restart of this song, comparable to Lithium from 11/05/91.

7 - About A Girl
After the first lines, Kurt has guitar and microphone problems, but finishes the song with passion.

8 - Sliver
This song is next.

9 - Breed
Good version of "Breed", the first chords sound just great!

10 - Polly
Average "Nevermind" era version.

11 - Smells Like Teen Spirit
And again, a restart of the first riff after a mess up.

12 - Where Did You Sleep Last Night
Heavy electric version of that song! Pump up the volume and listen to this; it includes a "noise solo" and a great end!

13 - Love Buzz
Average "Nevermind" era version.

14 - On A Plain
An above average version of this song.

15 - Blew
After Krist telling the audience about this being their last night of their australian tour, Blew comes next. A very intense version, one of the best songs on this cd!

16 - Demolition
The bands last ever australian show ends with a great sounding, more than 15 minutes jam! After listening to this track, you know why `Small Clone´ titled this disc "Noizemaker" :)

This is a remastered & retracked version done by "The Dead Star Co", and is the second release of that title.
The remastered disc is still missing Dave's final "Thanks" at the end of the show, the extra running time is explained by a small amount of dead space after the last song
