Notes for SBD #1a: Missing the unknown song, 'Aneurysm', the second 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' intro, the small jam between 'Sliver' and 'About A Girl', 'All Apologies' and 'Endless, Nameless'. 'Breed' fades in. This is the best sounding source of the show and is only available on commercial releases. The best commercial release of this show is 'Kurko'. This source does also feature on the bootlegs 'Out Of The Bloom', 'Bang Tango' and 'A Higher State Of Mind'. Spectrum frequently analysis, carried out in January 2003, suggests the source is pre-FM. See Live Nirvana's Bootography Guide To Nirvana Bootlegs for more information on commercial releases of this show.
Notes for SBD #1b: Missing everything before 'Drain You' and has cuts in 'Lounge Act', 'Sliver', 'About A Girl', 'Territorial Pissings', 'All Apologies' and 'Endless, Nameless'.
Notes for SBD #1c: 'Aneurysm' only and very brief clips of 'Come As You Are', 'Polly', 'Sliver' and 'In Bloom'. This was broadcast in December 1998. 'Come As You Are', 'Polly', 'In Bloom' and 'Sliver' were broadcast in their entirety but the taper cut them whilst taping it live from the radio.
Notes for SBD #1d: Surfaced in December 2005. Lowest quality FM source, but this source unlike all others, does not have a cut at the beginning of 'All Apologies'.
Notes for PRO #1a: Near complete multi camera PRO-shot video with soundboard audio. The unknown opening song and 'Negative Creep' cut in and some between-song banter is missing. No known generation tapes seem to exist. An unknown generation tape has been transferred to DVD; see Live Nirvana's DVD Guide for more information. Surfaced in January 2003.
Notes for PRO #1b: Analog transfer of a first generation version of the near-complete video above (PRO #1a) to CDR. The video portion has not surfaced. Sadly the sound quality is much lower than PRO #1a and PRO #1c, probably due to a poor transfer to analog and then CDR. This means that this source, although from a complete 1st generation video, is rather redundant. Hopefully the 1st generation video will circulate and provide an upgrade to PRO #1a when it is transferred properly to CDR/DVD. 'Negative Creep' is still cut and some banter is missing.
Notes for PRO #1c: Incomplete multi camera PRO-shot video with soundboard audio. Surfaced in August 2002. October 31st 2018 a 1st generation tape was circulated. There is some uncertainty as to whether this is a different (promo) source to the near-complete video (PRO #1a). Regardless this version is of known generation and better quality than PRO #1. The opening song is not cut but the tape cuts out during 'On A Plain' and is missing the last 4 songs; 'Negative Creep', 'Blew', 'All Apologies' and 'Endless, Nameless'. |
